The year was 1964 when Volvo first began testing the rear-facing child car seat. Jump forward to today, and the research is firmly on the side of rear-facing car seats. That principal sits at the heart of Volvo’s new line of child seats, designed in partnership with Britax. The new seats are more comfortable for children to sit in, with the hope being they actually want to stay in them.

At this year's Geneva Motor Show, fans of the Volvo brand were wowed when they rolled out the 2018 V90 wagon wearing the brand's latest design language. But as the XC90 taught us, the new design is just the tip of the iceberg for Volvo models these days, and a few minutes behind the wheel indicates that the brand has drawn crosshairs on the lofty German competition.

Our esteemed Swedish automaker sure knows how to build one heck of a luxury wagon. It, in our humble opinion here at Pederson Volvo, is the king of this class.

That said, it should then come as little surprise that Volvo's latest wagon -- the 2016 V60 -- is certainly no exception to the rule. It is, however, exceptional.

Self-driving cars have the potential to make roads much safer. They remove human error from the equation, and human error is the cause of most accidents, and even traffic congestion.

However, the shift will not be easy.

We human beings, flawed as we are, are not so willing to hand over control to machines.
