Volvo is starting to implement a groundbreaking new project called DriveMe, which will focus on the development of autonomous driving (AD) systems as part of the Scandinavian car company’s 2020 vision and determination that no one will be extremely injured or killed in a new Volvo.
“Customers look at their cars differently than us engineers,” said Erik Coelingh, Senior Technical Leader Active Safety at Volvo Cars. “So we are looking forward to learning how they use these cars in their daily lives and what feedback they will give us.”
