What is the Cloud? Short for cloud computing, the cloud is, essentially, data that is stored on the internet that can be remotely accessed by multiple users.

If you have iTunes, you are probably storing music on the cloud. Even major businesses are moving their computing from hardware, to the web. These are all forms of cloud computing. Why not some cloud power for our cars?

Volvo's connected cars seem to store traction data taken by the vehicle's sensors in a cloud, shared among other connected vehicles. It's like the internet, but for road conditions.

One thousand connected Volvos are taking to the streets of Sweden and Norway to test the concept. If it works, and helps improve driving safety, we may see the technology come to Pedersen Volvo's new inventory.

Would you be excited to test drive a connected car? Let us know what you think!
